What You Will Learn
The Technical Analysis Course is designed to develop the technical capabilities of each trader so that they are able to confidently approach trading the financial markets and make informed decisions on a purely technical basis. We ultimately want our traders to trade for themselves. This means making your own decisions and acquiring the skills in which to do so. We tackle the obstacles to overcome that inevitably lead to poor trade performance so that a clear method of profitable trading can be outlined.
Risk management, positioning, technical understanding as well as market entries/exits are all closely examined. In educating effectively, we combine the theoretical teaching with the practical application so that students begin to develop a level of comfort when approaching the markets and in having a technical foundation from which to trade competently.
This course is designed for anyone with an interest in the markets from beginner to professional traders who want to transform technical data and pricing trends into actionable trading plans. It is recommended that you complete the Beginners Trading Course first before undertaking this course as it will give you an effective introduction to the foundational practices and concepts behind trading the financial markets.

Course Outline
Part 1: Technical Analysis Explained
We will introduce you to some important aspects of technical analysis. You will gain insight into what technical analysis is, understand what we are trying to achieve by using technical analysis and appreciate the importance of price and how technical analysis can help you.
Part 2: Anatomy of Price Action & Trend Identification
In this lesson, you will gain valuable insight into the important elements of a trend. We discuss the 3 types of trends, the 3 phases of a trend and key aspects of trend identification.
Part 3: Price Patterns
We will focus on both reversal and continuation price patterns. We explain how to identify and evaluate price patterns and how to use the information provided by price patterns for trading purposes.
Part 4: Applying Momentum & MA Analysis
We will discuss the importance of applying momentum studies and moving average analysis to your price analysis. The various approaches to moving averages are explained and important elements of momentum studies are discussed.
Part 5: Trading the Trend
This lesson focuses on how to trade the trend. It is an extension of part 4 in that it illustrates how to develop a trading strategy. It focuses on using aspects of trend, momentum and moving average slope to fine-tune the aspects of what to trade, when to trade and how to trade.
Part 6: Fibonacci & Elliott Wave
We will explore Fibonacci Ratios and the Elliott Wave Principle. You will be shown how to apply Fibonacci retracements, price projections and time projections. An introduction to the Elliott Wave principle is an important first step to understanding its powerful application.
Part 7: Genuine S&R and Japanese Candlestick
We will introduce Japanese candlesticks and focus on the structure of candlesticks and the key patterns that provide important insights into market conditions. The importance of support and resistance is also discussed. The focus is on the effective identification and application of these levels.
Part 8: Range v Breakouts, Order Flow & Confirmation
We will discuss identifying and managing ranges. Breakout trading is also discussed with a specific focus on understanding when this trading approach is appropriate. The importance of order flow, market sentiment and price confirmation are also discussed.
